Hey guys, my name is Will, im 24 and I’ve been into sports since I was old enough to walk. My dad signed me up for soccer and I’ve played for many years. Once I got to high school I was more interested in basketball and I started to take it more seriously. I’ve been playing seriously for almost 5 years. I’ve played at a state level, I’ve also coached and trained as well. I graduated with a degree in Exercise Science from UNSW and I’m a certified personal trainer. I’m qualified to teach Olympic weightlifting technique and have a handful of clients who I regularly train for specific sports.
These days I play basketball mainly but I also am interested in parkour, tricking, rock climbing and weight training. I’m particularly health conscious and I’m very interested in the effects nutrition has on performance.
About this blog
Why did I start this blog? Between the forums and blogs I read regularly, I’ve found that many people are misguided in their idea’s of sports specific training and how to condition their body for their sports. I find that a lot of exercise blogs are simply trying to promote a product and take your money without providing any real value to the reader. For this reason I decided that I would share my knowledge on weight training and vertical jumping with readers and give as much value to people as I possibly could for absolutely free.
My posting on this blog tends to be centered around easy to implement tips for health and exercise. I don’t believe this to be the medium to post a thorough guide to programming weight training with sports specific training as there are a lot of individual factors involved.
